This is a pretty good all around brake too.

DARKSTAR63 wrote

Yeah, you would want to use Shimano rotors. You can get away with using Hayes rotors but they are not quite the same thickness so it alters the feel of the brake.

DARKSTAR63 wrote
Jun 23, 2011 at 11:52
Keep in mind they dont come with rotors. You have to buy those seperate.

DARKSTAR63 wrote
Jun 23, 2011 at 11:51
Yeah, they look sharp.

DARKSTAR63 wrote
Jun 23, 2011 at 11:39
Yeah, thats an insane value.

DARKSTAR63 wrote
Jun 23, 2011 at 11:33
Well I really like the Shimano's and I like the new Avid brakes alot. My Codes are top notch and my buddy Justin loves his Elixer's. But as far as bang for the buck, from everything Ive read you cant do much better than the Deore's.

DARKSTAR63 wrote
Jun 23, 2011 at 11:21
Not a bad way to go. I read some really great reviews on those. You can always check around for closeouts but they are pretty thin this time of year.

DARKSTAR63 wrote
Jun 23, 2011 at 11:19
Thats not too bad. Its good to spend some time on a hardtail once in awhile anyways. Builds your skillset.

DARKSTAR63 wrote
Jun 23, 2011 at 11:14
Yeah, I could see that - especially coming off a 55.

DARKSTAR63 wrote
Jun 23, 2011 at 11:11

http://www.jensonusa.com/store/product/BR708C16-Hayes+Adapter+For+8+Rotors.aspx

Think thats what you need. You have a 6" on there now right?

DARKSTAR63 wrote
Jun 22, 2011 at 6:33
Yeah, Ill def send that tire your way, and I can check for the adapter. No that I think on it, I dont think I have a post mount 203. Because my 66 fork was set up for 203 already and my fork before that was the older side mount style.

DARKSTAR63 wrote
Jun 22, 2011 at 5:07
I would have to check my tool box. There is a good chance.

DARKSTAR63 wrote
